Two Line Reviews – A Chill Kinda Day

I curate two Spotify playlists. When I update them I write short two-line reviews here. Sometimes the reviews are three lines. The rules are not strict.

Two Line Reviews - A Chill Kinda Day 1

“Hollow” is an excellent acoustic pop song with a subtle hint of modern Country. The song’s simple arrangement of guitar, piano, bass, and drums leaves plenty of space for the real star, Karin’s powerful but lovely voice.

Two Line Reviews - A Chill Kinda Day 2

This is a beautiful song. The mellow acoustic guitar and breathy vocal will put you in a better place for 3:49. Also, I like the line repeated at the end of the song, “I will save the world for you.”

Artist: Jacob Seeger
Track: Love’s Like
Location: Englewood, NJ

Two Line Reviews - A Chill Kinda Day 3

I’m obviously in a dream-pop mood today. Jacob’s Seeger’s “Love’s Like” is another mellow one. This tune has a really groovy 70’s vibe. On a slightly interesting and basically pointless side note, Jacob is from the city of my birth.

Two Line Reviews - A Chill Kinda Day 4

Most of the stuff on the Deep Indie Chill playlist is instrumental. However, I knew right away that this beautiful piano/vocal piece belonged on the list. I imagine this is what a George Winston and Kate Bush collaboration might sound like.

Artist: Witchbrew
Track: June
Location: Tallahassee, FL

Two Line Reviews - A Chill Kinda Day 5

To complete the mellowest of playlist updates, here is Witchbrew. “June” is abstract and spacey, featuring a mix of synth and string sounds, and an occasional kick drum. It’s perfect.
