Tauro C is a Jamaican born Hip-hop and Reggae artist. He has been writing and making music for ten years. In 2018 the singer began releasing his work professionally with the debut three-song EP, “Chill X Unwind Riddim.” That record’s closing track, “Body Want” has been getting some attention lately. That is thanks in part to the recent debut of the song’s video.
Although his sound is grounded in the Reggae and Dancehall rhythms of his home country, the artist lists influences from across the spectrum of Hip-Hop and Jamacain music. Artists from 2PAC to Gregory Isacks helped shape his sound. The result is a smooth and modern groove with chill moods and Hip-hop beats.
“Memory” is the singer’s latest single. The song is a heartfelt and nostalgic nod to his old neighborhood and his upbringing. In particular, the song is about giving respect to his mother as the primary influence and inspiration.
The track opens as an emotional piano ballad. A cool mellow organ and a Japanese Koto synth join the mix before a mellow Trap beat drops. Tauro C sings multiple overlapping vocal tracks to a dreamy, hypnotic effect. “Memory” is a deeply emotional song with a nice laid back vibe.
