Ross Victory is a singer, songwriter and award-winning author from Los Angeles, California. Growing up, he was immersed in a musical life at an early age. He was singing as soon as he learned to talk and began recording his own original songs at just 7 years old. However, as an adult life took him on a path into corporate America and his natural creative energies were set on the backburner. After the loss of both his father and brother, Ross found himself searching for meaning. He found it once again in the arts.
Since 2019 the multifaceted artist has authored a series of acclaimed nonfiction books about his life while simultaneously launching a successful music career. Inspired by the smooth 90’s soul of superstars like Anita Baker and Babyface, he has released a steady string of singles over the past two years. His tracks range in style from sexy slow jams to club bangers. On his latest creation the singer turns a thoughtful eye toward the personal side of the many social and racial issues plaguing our modern world.
“My Fault” is the brand new single from Ross Victory, available on all major streaming services on April 30, 2021. The track rides on a smooth downtempo R&B groove. Deep bass tones, angelic harp chords and a mellow Jazz guitar set the scene as the singer and a distant trumpet take turns on the song’s haunting melody. Ross’ vocals are impeccable and heartbreaking as he conveys the hopelessness we all feel. He captures the survivor’s guilt of a nation who has watched a thousand replays of the murder of innocent black men as he sings, “If everything is my fault, who do I call?”
