“Tomorrow is Today” is the latest single from Ed Roman. Released late last year, the song is a rousing anthem uniquely suited for this time in history. The track combines a biting wit, keen eyed skepticism and just a spark of optimism. It is an autobiographical, confessional and sometimes cryptic tale of bad decisions and false prophets.

The track opens with a thumping percussive beat and some seriously funky guitar. In short order an equally groovy bass enters the mix. The powerful stomp rolls on as Ed delivers his bluesy testimony with the perfect mix of sarcasm and sincerity. The song shifts into an ambient mood for the melodic and immediately memorable chorus that ends with the tempered optimism of, “Yesterday’s gone. Tomorrow is today.”

Throughout the track Ed flashes his chops on numerous instruments. From the song’s syncopated guitar/bass sub-rhythms to the very cool analog synth solos, the performance and production on the record are top notch. Check out “Tomorrow is Today” below.
