See Your Shadow is a collaborative network of musicians and vocalists from around the world. The man steering the ship is Phoenix, Arizona based songwriter and producer, Michael Coleman. Also known as ‘The Metropolitan Cowboy,’ Coleman is originally from Ohio. He has earned numerous accolades over the years for his work with See Your Shadow Songwriting. He was even nominated for the office of Poet Laureate for the State of Ohio. Although much of his earlier work was in film, television and EDM, Michael recently rebranded See Your Shadow Songwriting as a vehicle for his first love, Country & Western music.
“It Starts With Hello” is the latest single from See Your Shadow Songwriting, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 25, 2021. It is the group’s third single so far this year. The track is an uplifting tune with a positive message of tolerance and inclusion. After a terrible year and ongoing social and political strife that continues worldwide, Coleman and crew have crafted exactly the right message for 2021. Over a perfectly crafted mid tempo contemporary Country/Pop groove of acoustic and electric guitars, piano, bass and drums, the singer delivers a message of unity. The song’s philosophy is simple; the key to understanding is familiarity. We are better when we connect.
When we interact with different types of people from different cultures, different political beliefs, different socio-economic backgrounds, different sexual orientations, and the like, that one word, hello, is what kicks off our ability to engage, learn and grow. It sets the stage for everything.
