Auggie’s Emo Trap Breakup “NoLuvLost”

Auggie is the professional name of American singer/songwriter/rapper and melodic rap artist, Arshiya Taami. He made his debut in 2020 with the release of the single “5’2 Shorty.” Since then he has dropped two more tracks and connected with tens of thousands of Hip-Hop fans from around the world. Each of his singles has more than forty thousand listens on Spotify alone.

“NoLuvLost” is the latest single from Auggie, released worldwide to all major streaming services on 5/14/21. The release date is significant, as it was the one-year anniversary of the end of the singer’s relationship with his girlfriend Didi. “NoLuvLost” is a mellow Emo Trap groove that chronicles the singer’s romantic split. The breakup song is set to a low and slow beat. Holding down the bottom, deep 808 bass hits meet ambient synths for an expansive sound.

Meanwhile, Auggie delivers an alternately sad and angry emotional tale. In the process, he bravely takes on his own real-life issues of addiction and suicidal thoughts. The rapper has an impressive technique and flexes his emcee muscles as he alternates between a cool, syncopated rap and the song’s catchy and melodic chorus.
