Son of Satan is the professional name of singer, songwriter and rapper Orion Luminiferous. When not making his own music, Orion works as a recording engineer for other independent artists. A native of Fresno, California, Orion grew up in the foster care system. He turned to music to escape the harsh realities of life as an orphan.
It was within this aspect of grim circumstances that Orion found music creation to be a positive expression of the cold world which he knew growing up. As a fatherless orphan he took the name Son of Satan to brand his social position among humanity.
Orion Luminiferous
Since his debut as Son of Satan in 2020, the prolific artist has released a remarkable catalog of work. In just over a year he has dropped fourteen singles and four full length albums. His latest is the 6 song EP “3000 CE,” released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 20, 2021. The record further deepens the mystery that is Son of Satan.
“Orion” is the lead-off single and video from “3000 CE.” The track opens with a dramatic female vocal and ominous cinematic backing track to give the tune a sort of Goth/James Bond theme feel. Gradually an experimental acoustic and electronic hybrid beat rolls into the mix and Orion delivers his cryptic theme song. Dark analog synths create a psychedelic atmosphere as Son of Satan rhymes an esoteric narrative about science, space, Satan and God.
