Jennifer Juliette’s Powerful Pop Entry

  • by
Jennifer Juliette

Jennifer Juliette is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who is making her Pop music debut in 2021 after years of accomplishments in the Classical world. She learned to sing and play piano as a small child in the churches of South Wales. Eventually she went on to study music at the Royal School of Music, completing the curriculum at just 15 years-old. She is a classically trained pianist and vocalist. However she also plays guitar, violin and cello. The diversely talented artist has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages including the Sydney Opera House, the Vienna Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Now based in Berlin, before to moving to Germany Jennifer Juliette lived in London where she worked as a fashion model for several years. Prior to the pandemic she founded an international women’s choir to raise money for homeless shelters across Berlin. As was the case for musicians around the world, COVID lockdowns forced the group to pause its demanding performance schedule. Although the downtime grounded the singer, it also afforded her the opportunity to launch her solo Pop music career.

“Anchor” is the debut EP from Jennifer Juliette, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 26, 2021. The four song collection finds the talented musician and vocalist lending her virtuosity to a sweepingly cinematic Pop production. The record opens on the title track. Orchestral strings and timpani drums accompany Jennifer and her piano on a Celtic-tinged, nautically themed love song. The intimate and emotionally powerful and tragic “Small Voice ” follows with a simple arrangement of piano and strings.

The last two songs on the EP move deeper into the realm of Pop music. “Columns’ ‘ pairs Jennifer Juliette’s musical sophistication with a straight 4/4 Rock & Roll beat. The closing track “I’ll Be” is a melancholy breakup song featuring a mix of synths and organic instrumentation. Acoustic drums and a lo-fi breakbeat drive the track forward as Jennifer delivers an impeccably executed and emotional narrative.
