Jennifer Alvarado is a Nashville-based artist who has been making music for as long as she can remember. By the time she was just four years-old Alvarado was already writing her own songs. As a teenager she became deeply involved in her church and even began leading worship services. Since releasing her 2015 debut single “Relentlessly,” the talented singer/songwriter has built a diverse catalog of Country, Pop, Blues and Christian music. Throughout her stylistic experimentation she remains passionate about recovery ministry and uses her music to give a voice to the voiceless.

“Filthy Water” is the brand new single from Jennifer Alvarado, dropping worldwide to all major streaming services on Friday, September 17, 2021. The low rumble of a churning bass guitar opens the track and remains at the heart of the rhythm throughout the song. The soundscape gradually expands as a percussive drum beat, subtle layers of electric and acoustic guitars and broad ambient synths paint a Dark Pop mood.

The singer enters the mix with a cool and serious tone. Her voice gradually grows from a near-whisper to a defiant declaration as she looks back at difficult memories and calls the perpetrator of an unnamed evil to judgement. Jennifer Alvarado delivers an emotional performance that hints at her Country roots while incorporating plenty of Rock & Roll attitude and R&B soul.
