Zinga Drops Some New Latin Fusion Dance Pop

Zinga first appeared on The Static Dive in May of 2021 upon the release of his single “Dance With Me (Baila Asi Remix).” That song introduced readers to international singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer, Shayan Ali. Born in Bangladesh and raised in Chicago, the multicultural artist works with musicians from every corner of the glove to create his genre-bending World Beat sound.

The name Zinga is derived from the Spanish word “zingaro,” or gypsy. It represents the nomadic nature of the artist’s music. Shayan’s father Shafaat started the band in 1963 and is still revered as a pioneer of Pop music in that country. Now the younger Ali has taken up the family business. Since his debut early last year the prolific songwriter has released a half dozen original tracks, from heartfelt ballads to EDM bangers.

“Can’t You See” is the brand new single from Zinga, released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 28, 2022. From the song’s bluesy Sanata-style intro to its Latin fusion Dance Pop verse and far Eastern melody, Shayan takes us on globe-hopping dance party. As the groove rolls on, the singer delivers a longing tale of a fateful romance.

In keeping with the international theme, Zinga worked with artists from around the world on the recording. They include; Lithuanian songwriter Arturas Novikas, Los Angeles-based producer Malachi Mott, multi-instrumentalist Ry Jones from the UK, singer/rapper Blanco and Lithuanian acapella group Jazz Island.
