Queen Kat is the professional name of singer, songwriter and rapper Katherine Pinto. She made her professional solo recording debut with three singles; “We Outside,” “City Vibes” and “9-5.” Those tracks introduced a talented 24 year-old Latina artist from the Bronx, New York.
The launch of her career comes after a lifetime of singing. Ever since she was a child performing karaoke Selena songs, Katherine dreamt of making music. Her songs mix Hip-hop and R&B vibes with catchy Pop hooks. The singer recently dropped her first new music of the year.
“Chosen” is the debut EP from Queen Kat, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 24, 2022. Through the five song collection we follow Kat as she maneuvers through the emotional rollercoaster of a breakup. The record opens on the introspective and angry “Late Night Thoughts” and introduces her mix of soulful vocals and melodic rap.
This EP is about my first heartbreak and the changes/ growth I’ve made since. I hope people listen to it and enjoy and relate! I want the EP to help them gain the strength it gave me.

The record moves through the singer’s various phases of grief. She is defiant on tracks like “Not the Same” and “Could’ve.” She gives props to the peeps that supported her on “Stuck.” “Chosen” closes on the melancholy “Far from Perfect” in which Kat is introspective but also looking toward the future.
