Don’t Need Me!

Yo-Blake is an emerging singer, songwriter, rapper and producer who made his professional solo recording debut in 2018 with the single “Through the Darkness.” That track introduced a talented young artist from Mexico who started making beats when he was just 15 years old. The multi-instrumentalist producer composes, performs and records all of his music himself.

After early forays into alternative rock, hip-hop and electronic music Yo-Blake landed on his own unique musical style by incorporating elements of each. He cites similar genre-bending pop artists like P!NK, Drake, Iggy Azalea and Gashi as influences. He writes fun genre-bending jams in which he shares his unique observations on life, love and everything that comes with them.

I like to write about things that happened to me, about love and silly stuff.

“Don’t Need Me” is the brand new single from Yo-Blake, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 3, 2022. The song is the first single from the artist’s forthcoming debut EP. Rolling on a funky indie-pop groove, Yo-Blake steps to the mic with a fun and irreverent melodic rap. He addresses the object of his desire, questioning whether or not they feel the same way. In the bridge the track takes a turn into a mix of psychedelic effects and a groovy reggaeton beat. It’s a cool, quirky and catchy tune.
