We first heard from Three last year upon the release of their single “Only You.” Back then they were known as ‘3Alphas’, a name inspired by the college fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha, of which each was a member. That record introduced the soulful trio of Mike Corbin, Trey Thrower and Wesley Weston, three buddies from college on a mission to reignite the 90’s heyday of boy band R&B.
Since dropping that track the group has rebranded, simplifying their name and retooling their sound. They have matured vocally and are now incorporating more diverse and experimental elements to the production of their music. Recently Three released their first new music of the year with a pair of chilled out summertime r&b banger singles.
“Living High” is the latest single from Three, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 28, 2022. The song is a perfect summer anthem for a do-nothing day with family and friends. At the heart of the tune beats a chill groove that mixes elements of trap and reggaeton for laid-back beach-day jam. Mike, Trey and Wesley ride that groove with drinks in hand feet in the sand as live high off the vibes, in three part harmony.
