Zinga Takes A New Look At ‘Casablanca’

  • by
zinga

Zinga is the professional name of international singing star, Shayan Ali. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember the talented multi-cultural recording artist from latin-fusion dance bangers like “Can’t You See“, “Dance With Me” and the bachata-infused “My Heart“.

The Chicago-based singer was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father, Shafaat was a pioneer of Bangladeshi pop music and made the name Zinga famous in the family’s home country. Now his son is carrying on the tradition, and taking the brand worldwide.

“Casablanca” is the brand new single from Zinga, released globally via all major streaming services on December 30, 2022. A cover of the 1982 classic by soft-rock pioneer Bertie Higgins, the song offers another side of this always adventurous and eclectic artist. An acoustic guitar introduces the track. The singer steps to the mic with an epic love story as electric guitars, keys, strings, bass and drums enter the mix to create a cinematic wall of sound.

Check out “Casablanca” below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Dive playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with Zinga. Get on his socials and get ready for his brand new album Fate, due to be released in Spring 2023.
