San Jose based indie-rock artist Zachary Campos is a prolific guy. Regular readers of The Static Dive know the artist well. Over the past twelve months, performing under his real name and as his alter ego Mr. Johnny Ba$h, Campos has released multiple singles, EPs and albums.
As a long-time sufferer of OCD and depression, Zachary Campos uses music as a means of healing as well as vehicle for connecting with others facing similar struggles. He specializes in deeply personal, hip-hop infused lo-fi indie-rock observations about life, love and society. The singer recently delivered his most ambitious project to date.
“Pain” is the current single from Zachary Campos’ brand new album The Prophet, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 3, 2023. The 10-song collection is an indie-rock opera about a young prophet named Jeremiah who is sent to San Francisco in an effort to warn the people of the impending apocalypse. However, he is led astray from his mission by a temptress. A journey of self-discovery follows.
