Uncle S is a veteran producer who made his solo professional recording debut in 2022. He was born, raised and currently resides in Germany. The multitalented musician began his musical journey over a decade ago as a club DJ.
Over the years, Uncle S has connected with a number of high-profile German recording artists. His collaborations have led to life on the road and he now works as a live DJ for a number of popular touring German artists.
“Soul Searching” is the debut album from Uncle S, released worldwide via all major streaming services on December 24, 2022. The seven-song collection is a showcase for the artist’s chilled downtempo groove. As a composer, he finds influence in the classic dance, pop, and hip-hop of the 80’s and 90’s.
From the analog synths, downtuned piano and haunting vocal samples of “I Don’t Need You” to the organic ambient vibes of the ethereal closer “New Earth”, Uncle S creates a soul-warming groove. Jazz guitars ride boom-bap beats (“Awaken”) while acoustic guitars and strings paint ethereal dream scenes (“Faith”, “At Night”). It’s a twenty minute lo-fi exhale that is sure to leave you better off than when you found it.
