Flawdaa Rugrat is an emerging independent hip-hop artist making his solo professional recording debut in 2023. He dropped his first single “Muslim Lives Matter” in February. That track introduced a skilled emcee and producer whose music is inspired by his strong political, spiritual, and philosophical convictions.
Although the Gainesville, Florida native only recently began releasing music professionally, he got his start years early, writing his first rhymes while still in high school. As inspiration he cites groundbreaking and iconic hip-hop artists like Kodak Black, Quando Rondo, 2Pac, Chris Brown, Ice Cube, Wiz Khalifa, and Snoop Dogg. A follower of Islam and Libertarianism, he is a focused and driven young artist, determined to make his mark.
“Tlk Iz Cheap” is the current single from Flawdaa Rugrats’ new six-song EP Coldest Cracca Chapter 1, available worldwide via all major streaming services. An acoustic guitar sample opens the track before the beat drops on reggaeton-infused downtempo hip-hop groove. Subterranean bass tones rumble the floor as Flawdaa Rugrat steps to the mic. He and guest rapper DuckedOffMally trade bars in a hard freestyle, telling tales from the neighborhood and of their own commitment to the grind.
