Playlist Update
This week’s playlist update includes independent rock and jazz from New York City, deep house music from the United Kingdom, and hard hip-hop de Italia.
Mayva
+44
mayva’s bubblegrunge/sad-girl rocker sound mixes a distinctly NYC Gen Z indie aesthetic with a classic alt-rock/grunge vibe that brings to mind the layered guitar tapestries of the great Dinosaur Jr. Check out “+44” on the Deep Dive : Pop & Rock playlist.
Wyatt Lewis
Soliloquy
“Soliloquy” is 5:18 of pure, unfiltered, guitar joy. The track opens on a chilled funk groove. That vibe abides as Wyatt’s Stratocaster takes us on a high-energy, fuzz-pedal fueled, melodic celebration of blues licks and jazz vibes. Listen on the Deep Dive : Dance & Electronic playlist.
Mismatch (UK)
Heartbreaks & Miracles
“Heartbreaks & Miracles” is a chilled new Deep House groove, mixing retro and modern electronic styles into a hypnotic dance floor vibe. Listen for Mismatch (UK) on BBC Radio, Capital FM, Kiss FM, Selected, and the Deep Dive : Dance and Electronic playlist.
SpaceMonkeys
Puttana Androide
SpaceMonkeys go hard on this banging new hip-hop track that mixes elements of drill, grime, and old-school with an overdriven hyper-pop production. This is cool cutting edge stuff out of Italy. It is also not for the faint of heart. Listen on the Deep Dive : Hip-Hop and R&B playlist.
