I curate two Spotify playlists. When I update them I write short two-line reviews here. Sometimes the reviews are three lines. The rules are not strict.

Artist: Duphi
Track: Unconditional Love
Location: Germany
Unconditional love for the planet on Earth Day. I got a little lost in my own head while I listened to the groovy, environmentally-conscious robot/chillout/jungle rhythms of Duphi’s track ‘Unconditional Love’. And I think that is perfect.

Artist: Keira Moran
Track: All the Right Things
Location: Alexandria Virginia
Sure, this is classy R&B-tinged Pop, performed by a very pretty girl who can both sing and play keys really well. But, what I keep hearing on repeated listens is a skilled songwriter. This is the only song Keira currently has on Spotify, but it sure is an excellent start.

Artist: Mellow Daze
Track: How Could This be Fair
Location: Australia
This is one of the most accurately named bands ever. The breezy and mellow dream-pop is just what the doctor ordered on a cloudy Monday.

Artist: Tiny Tree
Track: Lion and the Meteor
Location: Muskegon, Michigan
For nearly six minutes, while listening to this tune, I was transported back to my high school bedroom, getting high and listening to Pink Floyd’s ‘Meddle’ album. And I liked it.

Artist: Surfing Stingrays
Track: Guilty Pleasures Dream Car
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Here is one more for the stoner rock file. First it was the band name, and then the song title, then I clicked play and heard exactly what I was hoping for, a trippy/stoner/joker alt-pop gem.
