The last two years have been pretty stellar for State to State. The Los Angeles based Atmospheric Alternative rockers have enjoyed a series of high profile successes. They played the final Van’s Warped Tour and were a featured artist at Milwaukee’s massive Summerfest, certified by Guinness as the world’s largest music festival.
The band had residencies at The Hotel Café and the world famous playground for Hollywood’s elite badasses, The Viper Room. Their recent singles have been spun on The Howard Stern Show, and they were voted #1 for a total of seven weeks on Kat Corbett’s “Locals Only” show on LA’s legendary rock station, KROQ.

Years of constant touring and recording is paying off. Their recent singles have racked up hundreds of thousands of spins on Spotify, for instance. Now the band is excited to announce their latest track, “Undead Love.” They describe the track as “a dirty, high-energy song about love and lust.”
The tune opens with a raunchy guitar romp that is one part Garage Rock and one part Metal. That raw vibe persists as the full band joins the mix. They strike just the right balance between control and abandon as an air-tight rhythm section holds the beat down and guitars threaten to explode, which they occasionally do. It is a very LA sound.
Lyrically the track has fun mixing the dark imagery of a zombie movie with erotic fantasy. Lead vocalist Shea Stratton keeps one foot in classic Alternative Rock and the other in 2020, with powerful lead vocals peppered by Alice in Chains inspired harmonies. It’s great stuff.
