Da-Mind is the professional name of aspiring Hip-hop artist and businessman, James Bussey. He is a rapper, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur from Atlanta, Georgia. The aspiring Hip-hop artist has been releasing his own original music since 2016. In that time he has enjoyed considerable success, racking up tens of thousands of spins on Spotify.
The enterprising young talent’s skills are not limited to his abilities on the microphone. He is also the CEO of independent record label, Da-Mind LLC. “No Drama” is the latest song and video from Da-Mind and his organization. Bussey has a cool, mellow old-school rap style. The song rides on a chill downbeat groove that is one part Dirty South and one part Trap.
The song’s production incorporates a smooth mix of analog synths and a subwoofer rattling kick drums and bass tones. Over the slow and low beat the rapper makes it clear to all of the other players who might start trouble that he and his boys are looking to get down in the club without any hassle. As he says, “Everybody wanna chill, aight?”
