Francis Groove got his start as an R&B and Soul DJ in his hometown of Brussels, Belgium. However, years ago he took a fateful trip to the United States which forever changed the direction of his music. There he was introduced to Soulful House and Electronic Music. He returned home with a new vision, and in search of his new groove.
Since that time, Francis has worked with artists from around the globe and enjoyed success on an international stage. His collaborations with American singer Tony G have produced two UK club hits; “Alright” and “Love’s Gonna Find You.” In 2019 he produced the hits “I Swear” featuring Ama and “Can’t Wait” featuring Nd Friends. The latter reached #1 on the Musicweek Uk Urban Club Chart.
Back with another bit of gold for 2020, “Why Do U Do Dis” is Francis Groove’s latest single. Once again he appears to be primed for the top of the charts. This time he recruited the talents of both Simon Le Saint and UK singer Hydie Humbles. Over a funky Island rhythm, Humbles sings about the excitement and confusion of new love.
Peppered with steel drum sounds and reggae vibes, the cool and quirky beat is more than a little bit Dancehall. Hydie’s vocal is infectious and fun when paired with the low synth bass and tight percussion in the verse. In the chorus the track opens up to a smooth R&B groove, and the talented young singer follows suit. It sounds like a hit.
