Britta Nolet Debuts With a Soulful, Sexy and Empowering Bad Habit

Britta Nolet is an aspiring Pop/R&B singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Although she is a newcomer on the scene, the artist arrives with the skill and confidence of an artist with years of experience. She lists powerful female voices as her inspiration, artists like; Dua Lipa, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Halsey. Driven by their inspiration she pairs smokey vocals and honest words over punchy melodies.

“Bad Habit” is Britta’s debut single. The track is a sassy and unapologetic declaration of independence from the toxicity of bad relationships. The song’s verse moves over a low and slow downtempo R&B beat as Nolet gives a sultry recount of an unhealthy love affair.

I strongly feel that empathy is a key element to healing a lot of hurts in the world. If I can show people that there is someone out there who might be experiencing something similar to them, then maybe we can make it normal to face our demons and empower ourselves.

The track bursts into the chorus with expansive harmonies and Britta’s soulful and sexy lead vocal delivery of the song’s infectious Pop hook. Throughout the track, the mix is peppered with psychedelic synths and sound effects, panned left and right. It is a cool production technique that lends a futuristic feel to the classic Pop and R&B soul at the heart of the recording.
