DJ Stoth is the professional name of Cameron Stothard. He is an aspiring DJ & Producer from Doncaster, England. Working in his home studio, the up and coming beatmaker has been producing EDM tracks for the past two years. He recently began releasing his work to the public via all major streaming services.
“Skellow” is DJ Stoth’s latest single, released October 27, 2020. The tune is an impressive debut and fans are already reacting. The track already has over 2000 spins on Spotify alone. Cameron lists legendary DJs Martin Garrix and Tiësto as his influences. Like them, on his new single he employs Progressive House beats and a polished but adventurous club-centric dance vibe.
The track opens with a straight, four on the floor House groove. The sound soon opens up to a wide open synth-heavy soundscape. An infectiously catchy melody takes over and drives the beat forward. Halfway through the track it breaks down into a moody, cinematic feel. With a clever use of breakbeats and EDM percussion builds, DJ Stoth brings the beat back in full force. Throughout the track he creatively incorporates breaks and fills to create a cool tension.
