Dre Millz is an up and coming rapper from Duplin County, North Carolina. He made his professional debut in 2018 with an eponymous three song EP. He followed that success a year later with the thirteen track album, “Hard to Kill.” That record had the depth of style and content to properly introduce the versatile emcee to a wider audience. The album led to some high profile gigs including opening spots for a number of national acts like; Plies, Trina, 21Savage, Hood Rich Pablo, Juan and others.
Although he has only been releasing music to major streaming services for a couple of years, the rapper actually got his start in childhood. He knew this would be his career path ever since elementary school. By ninth grade he was writing his own rhymes and making records with his crew M.O.E. (Money Over Everything). Later he saw some of his friends go down more destructive paths, but Dre Millz kept at the rap game.
“Casanova” is a single from his “Hard to Kill” LP. The track rides on a low, slow and dark Trap beat with deep 808 bass hits. Cinematic synth effects and ambient pads set a creepy mood to match Dre’s hard stories from the street. The song is an excellent introduction to the rapper who will be releasing his follow-up LP “Guns & Butter” in the coming weeks.
