Bishop 98baby Goes Hard With The Exotic Trap Groove of “Did It”

Bishop 98baby is an up and coming rapper, born and raised in East New York. The Brooklyn native made his debut two years ago with the track, “Thru it All.” He followed that song with four more singles in 2019. With these initial releases Bishop introduced his unique style combining powerful wordplay and raw aggression.

“Did It” is Bishop’s latest single, released October 22, 2020. It is his first official track of 2020. Over a deep Trap beat he rhymes about navigating the terrain of NYC. He manages his women, money and adversaries with a hard rap flow and an international groove that sounds like the streets of New York.

Exotic percussion and stringed instruments float in the periphery while a sampled flute creates an otherworldly feel. The mix of Middle Eastern vibes and subterranean 808 bass hits creates a fitting backdrop for Bishop’s tale of cutting through the BS and getting “it” done.

What is desire without improvement? That’s all I can ask for in this volatile experience of a year.
