Blake Wharton Stirs Up The Sweetest Love

  • by
Blake Wharton

Blake Wharton is a talented guy. A world renowned Supercross (indoor dirt bike racing) champion, he won the 250cc title three times before he reached his 24th birthday. Unfortunately, illness and injury sidelined his trajectory in 2014. He attempted a comeback in 2018 and 2019, only to once again meet medical obstacles.

However, motorcycle racing is not Blake’s only passion. Before, during and after his Supercross career, he made music. And he continues to do so. The Texas native made his professional singing debut in 2016 with the EP, “Explain Insanity.” Since then he has released a handful of singles.

“The Sweetest Love” is Blake Wharton’s latest single, and his first of 2020. Released on December 2nd, as the title suggests the track is a heartfelt and touching love song. Over an Alt-Folk groove reminiscent of artists like Mumford & Sons or The Lumineers, Wharton delivers praise to his “sweetest love,” and advice to us all.

Throughout the song he lists the ingredients required for “The Sweetest Love.” It is a lovely song set to a cool Country shuffle rhythm, acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin.
