SnapDibz is a duo consisting of songwriter/lyricist Snap and DJ/Producer Dibz. Snap was raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia and grew up on music. With influences that range from Alternative Rock to Pop and from Garth Brooks to NWA, he spent years experimenting with multiple genres and styles. He first picked up his brother’s guitar in high school and never looked back. He continued playing all through college.
Ultimately the artist found his way to Louisiana and decided to focus primarily on Hip-hop. That is where he met DJ Dibz, and Snapdbiz was born. Now based in the Chicago area, the duo creates Pop/Rock/Hip-hop hybrid music with a broad appeal. Their sound is based on universal themes and leans on styles from across the globe. Over the past four years the team has released a steady stream of singles and EPs and they count their monthly listeners in the tens of thousands.
“Done Believing” is the latest single from Snapdibz, released to all major streaming services on December 31, 2020. The track is an excellent example of the artists’ unique style of mixing multiple genres into a distinct and cohesive whole. The song opens with a female vocalist singing the emotional piano ballad chorus. She sings of losing faith in love after the loss of a relationship. Snap takes the verses with a rapid-fire chopping rap technique. He furthers the narrative of a bad breakup. With a clever writing style he drops references to Chemistry, Biology, Genetics and Disney. Meanwhile the groove shifts back and forth from a funky, bouncing Reggaeton bass to cinematic Pop and Rock vibes.
