Jack Ryan’s Quirky, Catchy and Fun “Missed U”

Jack Ryan

Jack Ryan is a singer/songwriter who has traveled the world with his guitar in hand. The musician calls Ridgefield, Connecticut home, but his music has brought him to all corners of the globe. In 2015 he was recruited by Carnival Cruise Lines to entertain vacationing guests. For two years he sailed, strummed and sang on the seven seas.

After returning to land in June 2017, Jack moved to Tennessee and held residencies at three major venues in Nashville; Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Redneck Riviera, and Hotel Indigo. In January 2020 he debuted as a solo recording artist with the five song EP, “Tunes Up.” Now back in Connecticut, Ryan continues to record new music. Once the world emerges from its forced pandemic quarantine, he intends to set sail once again.

“Missed U” is Jack Ryan’s latest single, released to all major streaming services on December 16, 2020. The song finds our hero relaying a “day in the life” style narrative about a round of phone tag with his love interest, who may or may not be Shania Twain. As he makes and misses calls he meets a series of minor accidents and distractions while showering and navigating his apartment. The song is a slick bit of acoustic Alt-Pop featuring some really nice guitar playing and an infectiously catchy hook. Vocally, Jacks sets the perfect tone for this fun and quirky number. His smooth tenor delivers the lighthearted lyrics with just enough smirk, but not too much.

Check out the video that Jack and his roommate made for $10, below. It’s like a fun documentary about 2020 lockdown life. You can also hear “Missed U” on the Deep Indie Dive playlist. Click the links below to connect with Jack Ryan and follow along on his many future adventures.
