Mimz The Magnificent is a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary Hip-hop artist, born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. With a catalog that includes solo work as well as dozens of collabs, he’s a rapper, songwriter and producer who has been making a name for himself on both coasts.
Although he is only 21 years-old, through his work with the Neo-Soul band Fib9 (Fibonacci 9) and other projects the up and coming creator has been a major presence in the NYC underground scene since he was just 15. He has also made his mark on the West coast from LA to Oakland, performing with the likes of Fatlip from Pharcyde.
In 2019 Mimz The Magnificent launched his solo career with the single “Face Away.” Since then he has dropped a steady stream of music on multiple platforms. “Lazytown” is his latest single, released on January 8, 2021 to YouTube and SoundCloud. The short video juxtaposes tropical scenes with images of urban decay. The beat (Prod. by No Face) mixes soulful and abstract R&B samples to give the track a psychedelic vibe. Meanwhile the rapper drops stream of consciousness rhymes that range from surviving the streets to the universal search for meaning, and love.
