Olivia Faye is an aspiring singer/songwriter hailing from Murray, Kentucky. The Country/Pop artist grew up in a musical family, surrounded by the sounds of classic Country, Blues and Rock & Roll. At the age of nineteen she made her way to Nashville to launch her career in the business. It did not take long for the community in Music City to take notice of her smooth bluesy vocals and keen songwriting sensibilities. She landed a residence, performing regularly at Puckett’s of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. Olivia has been a featured opener for Alabama, Mark Chesnutt, Phil Vassar, and Paul Thorn. She was just named as one of the best-up-and-coming talented artists to watch on Nashville Rising’s Spotify playlist.
“Out of My System” is the latest single from Olivia Faye, released to all major streaming services on January 22, 2021. The track is a follow-up to the singer’s 2018 debut, “Nothing’s New.” Over a lush mix of acoustic and electric guitars, the singer delivers a beautiful heartbreak of a song.
The band consists of some of Nashville’s finest musicians; Derek Wells on Lead Guitar, Lee Hendricks on Bass, Evan Hutchings on drums and Justin Schipper on Pedal Steel. They create a rich ambient mood as Olivia tries to kick the habit of an addictive and unhealthy relationship. Her warm and heartfelt vocals pull us into the story as she sings, “you’re just a drug and I’m just your victim.” We’ve all been there, but few have told the story with such grace.
