Sacred Circles is an Indie Pop band from Chicago, Illinois. The band debuted in 2018 with their single “Cycles,” a sweeping and cinematic Synth-Pop ballad. The band’s sound combines modern Rock rhythms with retro synths and pristine Pop vocals. The band has been quiet since that debut until now. Last week they dropped a brand new single, and it is a perfect song for the times in which we are living.
“Stasis” is the new single from Sacred Circles, released to all major stream services worldwide on January 22, 2021. The song is an upbeat and thoughtful Pop song with a positive message of perseverance and weathering the storm. The track pairs an up-tempo Alt-Pop beat with a healthy dose of 80’s inspired New Wave synths. With percussive electronic elements, ethereal synths and live bass/drums/guitar instrumentation the band creates a groove that is at once modern and retro.
Meanwhile the singer tells of waiting for “stasis,” calm and quiet in a time of turmoil. He finds it for a time during a nice mellow breakdown in the bridge, with a bit of meditative poetry and acoustic guitar. It’s a great song and just what the doctor ordered after the last 12 months of insanity.
