Natalie Joly is an award winning singer/songwriter who is fast on the rise. The Massachusetts native started her career by taking the New England independent music scene by storm. She released her first self-produced CD at just 17 years-old. She followed that with an EP at 19 and then the single “Irresistible” in 2018. People began to take notice of the talented young songwriter and in 2019 her single “You Oughta Know” won Song of the Year at the prestigious 6-state New England Music Awards.
“Will You Ever Stop,” is the latest single from Natalie Joly, released to all major streaming services on January 29, 2021. The track is the second single from the artist’s new full length album due later this year. “Will You Every Stop” is an infectiously catchy Pop/Rock song that incorporates just a touch of Nashville twang. Lyrically the track finds the singer conducting a relationship post-mortem, discussing what could have been with her ex.
With an upbeat guitar and drum driven backbeat rhythm, the song has a timeless Pop/Rock vibe. Natalie sings the verse in a catchy, sing-song melody as a top notch band backs her up. The song already sounds like a hit before we get to the chorus, and then she drops the “I’m falling behind” riff and we are hooked. “Will You Ever Stop” is an immediately relatable and singable track that could easily find a home at Pop, Rock or Country radio.

7 Questions With Natalie Joly
The Static Dive: Where are you from?
Natalie Joly: Born and raised in Boston, MA.
SD: How long have you been making music?
NJ: I’ve been singing since I could talk and started playing guitar and writing songs at about 8 years old. I started gigging out at 14 and haven’t looked back since!
SD: Who are your biggest musical influences?
NJ: My favorite of all time is Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, but I’m also hugely influenced by The Beatles, Tom Petty, Taylor Swift and John Mayer… to name a few.
SD: What is your greatest non-musical influence?
NJ: I am hugely influenced by reading biographies or watching documentaries on all kinds of people from world leaders to artists to business people. I’m really influenced by learning the backstory that not many people know about and understanding the thinking of incredibly gifted people.
SD: What inspired you to create this project?
NJ: This song has been a work in progress for years, going through multiple iterations over time until finally settling on where it is now. I wrote this about a short-lived high school relationship that lingered in the back of my mind for some time, and I think 16 year old Natalie would be blown away with the final product telling this story.
SD: What are your plans for the future (musically)?
NJ: I plan to continue writing and releasing music this year, including several singles and an album as well as music videos. Hopefully, I’ll soon be able to get back to playing out and connecting with my fans in person. I’ve spent many years performing full time and going forward I hope to be doing even bigger shows centered around my original music.
SD: Is there anything else you would like to say?
Natalie Joly: I hope everyone loves “Will You Ever Stop” and if you do, please follow me on Spotify or wherever you listen online and add this song to your personal playlists!
