Light Up the Moon is an Alternative Pop/Rock band from the Philadelphia suburb of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The group formed in 2017 and debuted with the EP, “Burn.” They hit the road early in their career. Before COVID-19 came along and closed venues across the world, the band regularly toured all over the East Coast. Since then they have been home working on new music and occasionally hosting live performance video streams.
The members of Light Up the Moon are; Joe Acor (vocals), Brooke Gerhart – (bass, vocals), Rob Hampton (drums), Jake Schmoyer (bass, guitar) and Dave Danishefsky (guitar). When they first got together, the intent was to simply have a little fun and make some money gigging. However, once they started writing songs together, everything clicked. It wasn’t long before the fans reacted as well, nominating them “Best Central Pennsylvania Rock Band”.
“Run Through the Fire” is the latest single from Light Up The Moon. The track is currently being played on several Alternative Rock stations throughout the US. Opening with a backdrop of ambient electronic synths and a Trap inspired beat, Acor’s earnest vocal sings a loose narrative of angst-ridden introspection. As the song progresses the sound opens up to a 90’s Alternative style Rock chorus. The radio-ready track is loaded with catchy Pop hooks, big Rock guitars and expert performances from the entire band.
