C. Norris is an up and coming Hip-hop artist with a brand new album on the way. Originally from Huntington, New York, at the age of six he moved with his family to Haiti. There he experienced a very different and more difficult life than he was accustomed to in the comparably comfortable Long Island town of his birth. Eventually the family made their way back to the States, but his time in the impoverished island nation left a lasting effect.
Eventually he made his way to Tallahassee to study at Florida A&M University. There the lifelong Hip-hop fan began making his own music. He pulls inspiration from both Hip-hop and Pop heroes, listing artists like Kanye West, Michael Jackson and Lil Wayne as influences.
“Imagine This” is the latest single from C. Norris, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 2. The tune rides on a cool downtempo old-school Boom Bap Hip-hop beat. Ambient synths and subtle piano arpeggios float in the periphery as the rapper rhymes about his life as a high-roller. The track is the first single from his forthcoming album “Uncut Gems,” due everywhere on March 26, 2021.
