Young Shoddy is an independent Hip-hop artist from Philadelphia, PA. She started making music when she was still in 8th grade and attending the New Media Technology Charter School. Ten years later she is still at it and going stronger than ever, building her #BarbieTrap brand. It’s a sound the artist describes as a mix of; “Rubi Rose, Kash Doll, Rico Nasty and Flo Milli, all with a little of the Niki Minaj personality.”
Still only 22 years old, the talented young artist has already amassed a long list of accomplishments. In addition to her songs tallying streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands, she has been featured on BET and won numerous “Philly Hip-Hop Awards.” She is the CEO of her own label ‘A Trapnaire Mindset,’ a resource hub that works with connecting and helping upcoming creatives in their career.
The singer also gives back to her community as the founder/CEO of “Issa Girl Thing,” a female empowerment group mentoring teenage girls on etiquette skills, self esteem techniques and building sisterhood/sistership with other girls. She has done all of this while graduating at the top of her High School class and then going on to earn a college degree in Forensic Psychology. With an unwavering work ethic and boundless ambition, Shoddy is at the helm of her own success.
“Top Tier” is the latest single from Young Shoddy, released worldwide March 3, 2021 to all major streaming services. The track finds Young Shoddy singing and rapping over a slow and sexy Trap beat. Guitar, piano and ethereal backing vocals float on the horizon as the singer delivers a soulful, NSFW narrative. She lets her man, and anyone else who wants to know, exactly how she expects to be treated… top tier.
“Top Tier” is an empowerment anthem, helping women tap into their confidence and fun, sexy side.
