Jodé Exo is an up and coming independent Hip-hop artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota. After making his debut on SoundCloud in 2016 with the EP “Outside Looking In” he eventually shifted to a wider audience. In 2018 he released the 6-song collection “Deaf Ears” to all major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Since then the prolific songwriter has delivered a steady stream of new material including a number of singles, a follow-up EP and two full length albums. Along the way he has established himself as a dynamic artist, experimenting with multiple styles of Hip-hop, Rap, Trap, Pop and R&B. His adventurous vibe has connected with fans worldwide as his records regularly pull in listeners by the thousands.
“Moody” is the latest single from Jodé Exo, released on March 7, 2021 to all major streaming services. On the new track we find the artist exploring a psychedelic Emo Trap groove. Over a cool downtempo beat and ambient synths Jodé delivers a dark, melodic rap meditation on the confusion of interpersonal communication. In a rolling and poetic narrative he uses symbolism and esoteric references as he struggles with his own internal demons and those of his “Cinderella.”
