“She” is a Pop classic, written and first popularized in 1974 by French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour. The song was made famous again in 1999 by Elvis Costello on the ‘”Notting Hill” soundtrack. Now in 2021, K-Syran and famous Scandinavian diva Arja Saijonmaa have teamed up to deliver the song as a powerful anthem in honor of International Women’s Day.
The song opens on a solo electric piano and vocal. The track gradually builds as the two singers trade verses. By the third verse the song builds to a dramatic duet with full orchestral instrumentation. The string section swells in the distance as timpani drums and cymbals accent the song’s most powerfully emotional moments. The song is a powerful and emotional dedication to womanhood from two legendary ladies.
