Randy Seedorff has been making music since he was just 11 years old. That’s when his mother bought him his first guitar. With that he joined his musical family’s tradition in Country music. Now a veteran singer and songwriter, the musician has spent the last 30 years making a name for himself in Kansas City’s world famous music scene.
Throughout the 1990’s Seerdorff handled lead guitar and vocal duties in the popular Bluegrass group Greenside Up. It was during his tenure with the band that the musician experienced a traumatic life changing event. He fell victim to an armed robber. Understandably, it had a profound and lasting effect on the singer. From that moment forward he redirected his professional and creative energies toward his Christian faith.
Since 2010, both with his group Soul Purpose and as a solo artist, Randy has released a series of Contemporary Christian hits, landing at the top of the Christian Radio charts numerous times. He serves as a pastor at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Independence, Missouri and he performs with Soul Purpose frequently at churches, festivals and other events.
“Family Tree” is Randy’s latest solo single, released to all major streaming services on January 15, 2021. On the track, the singer recounts found memories of playing music with his family as a child as well as significant events of his adult life, including the birth of his son. It’s a celebration of his family, their faith and the music they share. The song is set to a perfect upbeat modern Country groove with a nice 90’s Alt/Pop guitar hook for good measure.
