Skycabin’s Deep Trip-Hop Moonlight Mood

Skycabin is the brainchild of California based musicians, songwriters and producers Farbod and Sepand. The duo debuted in 2020 with a uniquely dark and moody electronic Pop sound. Their downtempo vibe is equally inspired by Alternative and Electronic artists from the 1990’s and today. They have already connected with listeners across the globe. Each of the four singles they have released to date counts its streaming numbers in the tens of thousands on multiple platforms.

“Moonlight” is the latest single from Skycabin, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 24, 2021. The song is a poetic, psychedelic meditation on dreams and longing. The singer’s hypnotic Dark Pop narrative is rife with dream scenes and angelic imagery. Riding on a hypnagogic Trip-Hop groove, the tune is a cool Electro-Pop exploration mixing Synthwave sounds and percussive electronics.

The song is paired with an equally beautiful and tripped-out video. The film opens with the song’s lovely protagonist singing from the rooftop of a tall building in the dead of night. Maybe she is dreaming, maybe she is simply recalling a dream. The song grows increasingly surreal until she eventually takes flight. Over the course of the video our heroine first possesses the moon and then is ultimately consumed by it. The song is both visually and musically mesmerizing.
