Rex HighTech is an up and coming Hip-hop artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. The aspiring emcee made his debut in 2020 with the Emo rap of the single “Switch Up.” That song introduced the artist with a unique mix of Lo-fi rap, a Trap beat and a soulful R&B backing track. A smooth sample of seventies guitar and piano Soul set a mellow mood.
“Win Again” is the latest single from Rex HighTech, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 26, 2021. The song is his first of the new year. Once again we find Rex rhyming over a midtempo Trap beat. However, this time he has paired that groove with a jazzy electric piano loop and a low rumbling Grime bass. Meanwhile the rapper delivers a laid back freestyle vocal performance. It’s a chill lo-fi stoner rap vibe.
