JNA is the professional name of twin brothers Jonny and Aaron. The Harlem, New York City natives have spent their young lives making music together. Singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, by playing off of each other’s strengths the creative siblings have forged a unique and infectious Pop vibe.
The duo made their professional debut in a big way early in 2021 with the single “You Got It.” The viral hit took off on TikTok after a dance challenge was created around the song. To date, it has generated over 60,000 unique videos on the platform, and is growing by the thousands each day. The song has blown up on other platforms as well. On Spotify alone “You Got It” has over 575K spins as of this writing.
“#1” is the follow-up single to that smash, and JNA is riding that wave with a smooth summertime groove perfect for cruising with the top down. The tune rides on a laid back mid tempo Hip-hop beat. Ambient synths and percussive guitar and keyboard arpeggios paint the edges of the mix on this chill Pop groove. Meanwhile the boys sing a dedication to their #1 girl. They deliver the track with an easy confidence as subtle background harmonies add a nice warmth to the mix. It is a great sound that brings to mind scenes of the summer.
