Staud. is a brand new singer, songwriter and rapper from Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. He has had a lifelong passion for music, rapping, poetry and spoken word art. However, he kept these interests on the backburner for years as he pursued a degree in Business Economics from Brown University. Now that he has graduated, the rapper is taking a leap of faith and diving into the world of independent music production.
“Like This” is the debut single from Staud. Released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 26, 2021, the song has already struck a chord with listeners. In just two weeks since its release the track has tallied over 30,000 spins on Spotify alone. With a beat produced by LEXNOUR Beats, the song rolls on a mellow Emo Trap groove. Built on a mellow guitar riff loop, the chill Trap beat is paired with ambient synths deep bass tones. Meanwhile Staud. tells a tale of relationship confusion, anxiety and jealousy. However he delivers the narrative with a cool and laid back flow. With an easy tone and smooth style he drops clever lines like, “Don’t wanna fight so it’s flight I guess.”
