Caviar Cam is an aspiring Hip=hop artist based in Detroit, Michigan. Originally from Ann Arbor, Cam was a music fan his entire life and used to rap with his friends for fun. However, it wasn’t until last year that the rapper started to take his music more seriously. He bought some gear, set up his own recording studio at home and got to work.
Although he only just got started a year ago, Caviar Cam has quickly made up for lost time. Since his 2020 debut with the 3 song EP “Keeping it Cordial,” the prolific artist has produced a sizable catalog including over a dozen singles and three full length albums. It is a remarkable output by any standard and he shows no sign of slowing down.
“16 Zips Freestyle” is the latest single and video from Caviar Cam. Released to YouTube on March 20, 2021. The track his a hardcore freestyle drill tune. Musically the groove rides on looped classical music sample matched with a hard Trap beat. Meanwhile Cam rhymes about real life stories of drugs, violence and life on the street. The song’s video features the emcee rapping alone in his home. To add a dose of authenticity the short film opens with the rapper closing a deal.
