Chad Rubin’s Addictive New “Body Language”

Chad Rubin is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has spent the better part of the past decade creating a genre-busting solo career. However, his musical journey started long before that. From performing with his musical family as a child in Phoenix, Arizona to touring the Southwest with a punk-reggae band in college, Chad has traveled a musical road.

It almost didn’t happen. Corporate America had a hold on him for a few years as he worked as an Electrical Inspector & Project Engineer. Ultimately though he realized that his calling was on stage and in the studio. He left that grind and a solo career was born.

Over the years he has worked in film, theater and in a number of bands. He splits his time between Arizona and Southern California. Pre-pandemic, Chad was performing a solo live act utilizing looping for accompaniment. This fall the singer will release a brand new album. Now that the world is opening back up he is ready to get back out on stage.

“Body Language” is the latest single from Chad Rubin, and the third from his forthcoming album. The track is an excellent showcase for the talented musician’s broad range of styles and abilities. The track opens with a concert piano teaser, and then the beat drops. It’s a mellow and funky Hip-hop groove mixing analog and electronic drums. Subterranean bass tones rumble below. Chad then delivers a fun mix of rapping and singing in praise of the object of his affection.

The tune has a feel-good party groove full of positive vibes and hooks galore. Rubin pairs Pop melodies with Rock guitars. Lush multi-part harmonies glide over a funky groove. Through it all Chad delivers a fun and sexy narrative addressed to someone with whom he intends to have a really good time.
