Julia Aldo is the professional name of singer/songwriter Julia Stoll. A native of Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, the versatile and creative artist made her debut in 2020 with the poetic and percussive single “Empty World.” She followed with her sophomore single “Destiny” earlier this year. With each new release the eclectic creator shines a light on yet another aspect of her impressive talents.
At 22 years-old, the emerging young artist finds inspiration in exploring world cultures and travelling to distant lands. Russia in particular has had a significant impact on her work as she has travelled there before and has Russian roots. Her music fuses classical composition and instrumentation with modern Pop song structures and themes. On her third and most recent release, Julia has introduced a theatrical element to her sound.

“Into Fire ” is the latest single from Julia Aldo, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 17, 2021. The song finds the singer applying her formidable vocal abilities to a Dark Pop tune that mixes a Broadway musical vibe with a stark Pop drama that brings to mind artists like Tori Amos or some of Bjork’s more accessible work. Classical piano meets stacatto strings and deep, heavy synths as Julia sings of escaping an unhealthy and controlling relationship. It is a dark tale, but ultimately inspirational as she sings, “You’ve had the power way too long, it’s time for me to turn the page.”
