Snowtown’s New Plea For More Time

snowtown

Snowtown is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer Jesse Garcia. The 20 year-old artist from Salt Lake City, Utah started writing songs about five years ago as he recovered in the hospital from a near-fatal accident. He was fifteen, and in his words, “was starting to realize that life wasn’t always all that nice.” Music became a catharsis as well as a tool to reach out to others who may also be feeling let down by the world around them.

In 2018 Snowtown made his debut with the album “Seeing Things.” With that record he introduced his unique mix of Alternative Rock, Pop and Hip-hop. Since then he has released a steady string of music with over a dozen singles, an EP and another full length album. He has connected with fans around the world with songs dealing with mental health issues like anxiety and depression.

I want people to know we all feel horrible at times, even if people try to hide it. You can get through whatever it is you’re going through.

“More Time is the latest single from Snowtown, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 16, 2021. The track finds Jesse ruminating on the impermanence of life and the fleeting nature of time. In his signature style Garcia mixes lo-fi Indie Rock, Emo and electronic music ro create a melodic and meditative sound.

The singer and his piano meet deep bass tones, electric guitars and a mix of acoustic and electronic drums to paint a rich melancholy tapestry. The song floats on a hypnotic mix of ambient sounds and background harmonies with occasional bursts of drums. It ends on the simple, universally relatable refrain, “I wish I had more time.”
