Maury is a mononymous genre-fluid artist from East Brunswick, New Jersey. The singer, songwriter and producer has been making music since high school. An avant-garde artist with an experimental streak, among his influences he counts similarly adventurous artists like; Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Daft Punk and others.
A self described “lonely and troubled soul,” he composes as catharsis. Although his music is very personal to him and inspired by his own emotional perspective and life experiences, he strives to connect with others. His hope is that with his recordings he can reach those who feel somehow disconnected from the mainstream, as he does.
Music is everything to me. I tell my story through my music, hopefully others can connect with it. I make experiences not songs.

“Summer” is the latest single from Maury, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 5, 2021. The track opens with a melodic piano riff. That loop is soon met by a lo-fi Trap beat. Psychedelic synths and vocals float in the periphery. Meanwhile Maury riffs on a lost love. Vocally he slides between a sleepy rap and a mellow melody through the first half of the track. Eventually the song transitions into a trippy hypnotic mix of effects and wordless vocal chants.
