Hans Peter Beeler And The Cool Buzzers

hans peter beeler

For many years, Hans Peter Beeler’s music was a well kept secret. An industrial engineer by day, until now his hobby has been relegated to weekend jam sessions and occasional open mic performances. However, the dawn of affordable digital home recording and the subsequent explosion of the independent music industry have opened up the opportunity for players like Hans to finally introduce their music to the world.

Hans’ evolution as a player began far from his home in Switzerland. His day job has brought him all over the world and led him to live in China for a time. During his years living in Shanghai he would spend his evenings jamming with talented musicians at that city’s House of Blues. Under their tutelage he learned the ins-and-outs of playing Blues and Blues Rock guitar. He eventually expanded into other genres such as Jazz and Acoustic Folk/Rock. However, Blues has remained at the heart of his style.

“Shenyang Rain” is the debut single from Hans Peter Beeler. Backed by his band The Cool Buzzers, the guitar player is launching his new musical endeavor with a song rooted deeply in his beloved Blues. Opening with the sound of rain, the downtempo number rolls on a swampy and percussive groove. Hans trades stanzas with a soulful female singer in the verse. He pulls off smooth licks as she tells his story of living through the record rains of 2018 in Shenyang, China. In the chorus the tune transitions to a catchy Pop/Rock melody.
