Sean Stackz is an emerging Hip-Hop artist from Long Beach, California. After spending years writing songs for other musicians, he has now decided to head out on his own. Making his debut in 2021, to the date the talented songwriter and emcee has released two singles.

“Farewell 2020” is a brand new single and video from Sean Stackz. Released early this year the track is available on all major streaming services. As the title suggests, the song is a look back at the worst year in modern history. Over a stark and serious backing track, Sean drops relentless bars about the many crises we continue to face.

The song opens with a haunting minor-key piano chord progression and a soulful female vocal intro. That piano track continues at the heart of the mix as lo-fi old-school Hip-hop beat drops. Meanwhile Sean kicks into a laid back flow with a hardcore message. He delivers a deadly serious commentary on the many issues brought to the forefront of our collective consciousness by the chaos of 2020. With headline makers like Trump, COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement as launching pads he attacks the larger systemic issues that lead to these problems. From institutional racism to America’s obsession with material gains, the rapper pulls no punches as he educates.
